Για όποιον δεν γνωρίζει, τα Golden Joystick Awards είναι ένα ετήσιο event βραβείων για τα βιντεοπαιχνίδια που απονέμεται από το βρετανικό περιοδικό βιντεοπαιχνιδιών “Computer and Video Games” (CVG), με 1η του φορά το 1983. Η διαδικασία ψηφοφορίας είναι ανοικτή για το κοινό, και οι φίλοι των βιντεοπαιχνιδιών έχουν τη δυνατότητα να ψηφίσουν για τα αγαπημένα τους παιχνίδια σε διάφορες κατηγορίες.
Tα Golden Joystick Awards αντικατοπτρίζουν τη γνώμη του κοινού και αποτελούν έναν τρόπο να αναγνωριστεί η αρτιότητα και η καινοτομία στον χώρο των βιντεοπαιχνιδιών.
Οι μεγάλοι νικητές της 42ης χρονιάς των βραβείων ήταν το Black Myth Wukong, Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth και το Helldivers 2.
